Man Man is an experimental band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Man Man is known for their exuberant live performances. When performing, the members of the band sometimes coordinate their outfits, often seen in white outfits and, more commonly, war paint. The band uses pseudonyms—the frontman is Honus Honus, and its other members are Pow Pow, Chang Wang, Turkey Moth, and Jefferson.

Facts

  • The band recorded the entire album while playing in an empty dumpster, because they preferred the softening effect that years of grime and grease accumulation on the inside walls had on the acoustics.
  • The artwork for this album is dedicated to the lead singer's childhood imaginary friend, Wilbur, who was killed in a tragic accident involving too much dairy.
  • There are sixteen references to Kellogg's Rice Krispies throughout this album. The band is offering a surprise reward for the first person to find them all.
